The pilings are either completely visible or submerged, depending on the tide. Since the beach is close to the town of Zoutelande, there was a lot going on on the dam. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the beach and the sea. It's still highly recommended.

Dog paradise by the sea: Your four-legged friend is welcome at Burgh-Haamstede Beach! Between May 1st and October 1st, dogs are allowed on the beach during the day (10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) on a leash. Outside of these hours and in certain designated areas, they are even allowed to run free. Pay attention to the signs, especially in the Verklikkerstrand area, where leashes are required to protect rare birds. Many beach pavilions are dog-friendly and often offer water bowls.
